[0:01]
hello
[0:03]
humans so it's a little bit after
[0:05]
midnight on
[0:09]
Saturday I think this might be the last
[0:11]
time you hear from me from
[0:15]
Kentucky after a very long six months
[0:18]
I'm finally doing
[0:23]
it I'm leaving the Cocoon of my adopted
[0:27]
home
[0:28]
state in going to an exceptionally
[0:33]
rugged and dynamic
[0:36]
environment
[0:42]
during some of its most chaotic
[0:47]
Seasons where there's plenty of solitude
[0:50]
lots of rain and fog and very tall
[0:55]
trees and mud everywhere while I'm
[0:58]
hiking
[1:01]
and
[1:03]
very steep Cliffs leading down to the
[1:11]
oceans it sounds magical oh I forgot to
[1:15]
mention the
[1:16]
winds winds so strong that you really
[1:20]
have to be thinking
[1:23]
about how you position your RV where you
[1:27]
position it what's around you
[1:30]
lots of
[1:33]
things and it excites the out of me
[1:37]
like I am
[1:39]
just ready for
[1:43]
this storms that last for days at a time
[1:48]
I have never lived somewhere where that
[1:50]
happens and I'm going to be experiencing
[1:52]
it from my little RV here Here Comes
[1:56]
Bailey I heard you this very small space
[2:00]
here is even smaller
[2:03]
now come on lay down
[2:05]
buddy see if I can get him in the frame
[2:08]
here a little
[2:11]
bit
[2:17]
um and I just am very
[2:20]
like intrigued by it and really looking
[2:24]
forward to it like I just I know that
[2:27]
I'm going to love this experience it
[2:30]
will challenge me and I love
[2:35]
challenges I am imagining all the
[2:37]
scenarios that I will embark on while
[2:40]
I'm there during these storms I might be
[2:43]
working on my little book
[2:45]
Nooks which I think is a very
[2:47]
interesting contrast between you know
[2:50]
violent chaotic storms outside and these
[2:53]
intricate Little Worlds being built in
[2:57]
here and I'll also spend some some time
[3:00]
out there make some my intuition if it's
[3:02]
safe
[3:03]
enough sharing some of that with you
[3:07]
guys I'll do lots of hiking despite the
[3:11]
mud despite the constant
[3:15]
rain I might adopt some new practices
[3:19]
maybe I'll start drinking a lot more hot
[3:21]
drinks maybe I'll finally get into tea
[3:23]
something I talked about in the very
[3:25]
beginning of my my
[3:27]
journey did try it it didn't go so
[3:32]
well um probably start cooking too you
[3:37]
know for
[3:38]
me some challenges are cyclical I
[3:43]
don't I don't stress about it there's a
[3:46]
thing I want to learn there's a thing I
[3:48]
want to accomplish and I'll try it and
[3:51]
I'll put it aside and then I'll try it
[3:52]
again and that's just how I am and I'm
[3:55]
very comfortable with
[3:57]
it so it's in some ways a continuation
[4:01]
of my
[4:03]
journey in other ways it's very
[4:06]
different I don't believe that I could
[4:09]
have done
[4:11]
this even 3 months ago even one month
[4:16]
ago
[4:19]
I am not the same person
[4:24]
anymore I have
[4:26]
truly transformed myself
[4:31]
what I like to describe
[4:34]
as crafting myself into a
[4:40]
weapon there's deep significance to that
[4:43]
for
[4:46]
me and it's interesting because I
[4:49]
thought why didn't I pick weapon and not
[4:51]
tool there are reasons none of
[4:55]
them are the traditional ones
[5:00]
it's very deeply tied
[5:04]
to the holistic person I
[5:10]
am so I spent many hours tonight just
[5:14]
talking to artificial
[5:17]
intelligence doing preparation learning
[5:21]
about the environment I'm going to be in
[5:23]
so I can describe it to you so
[5:26]
well and it was just getting me super
[5:29]
we're
[5:31]
excited originally I was going to stop
[5:34]
at the Great Basin National Park along
[5:37]
the way but I decided not to do
[5:40]
that because I want to give that place
[5:44]
the stargazing just as much attention as
[5:46]
I'm going to be giving to this Dynamic
[5:50]
environment I don't want a quick stop
[5:52]
there I what to spend time there it's
[5:55]
not smoke that's that's Bailey's fur he
[5:59]
has a lot out of
[6:01]
it so I'm having to put that
[6:04]
off and in the spring it wouldn't be the
[6:07]
right time it's still it would be too
[6:09]
cold there
[6:11]
so I'm basically
[6:14]
accepting
[6:16]
that it will probably be a year before I
[6:19]
go there it'll have to
[6:21]
be the next autumn in Winter and I'll go
[6:25]
Star gasing there cuz I want to go
[6:28]
straight
[6:30]
or I feel
[6:32]
called that is Oregan in
[6:36]
Washington largely along the
[6:40]
coast uh for the
[6:42]
temperate temperatures but not a
[6:45]
tempered
[6:47]
climate so it will be a very
[6:52]
interesting
[6:55]
Adventure very excited about it
[6:59]
very proud of myself that I've reached
[7:01]
this level of integration
[7:04]
where I'm not fearful of it at all and
[7:07]
I'm genuinely just
[7:12]
excited um there are some things that I
[7:14]
need to do to prepare still but we'll do
[7:17]
them
[7:18]
there so I'm ready to
[7:21]
go um I need to do some more
[7:26]
insulating possibly even some fortifying
[7:30]
in a
[7:32]
sense
[7:34]
um the weather there is different this
[7:37]
RV needs to be able to hold up there so
[7:41]
we're going to have projects like those
[7:43]
once I get
[7:46]
there
[7:49]
um and there will of course be an
[7:51]
Adaptive process I willon have to adapt
[7:54]
to this
[7:57]
environment so my growth
[8:03]
for me that is how Evolution works you
[8:05]
put yourself in an environment that
[8:08]
forces you to
[8:10]
grow and I do this
[8:14]
willing I embrace it I seek it
[8:20]
out for me going
[8:25]
there is
[8:28]
where I
[8:30]
contest myself against all of the growth
[8:33]
and adaptation I've done over the past 6
[8:36]
months and I know I will Thrive I have
[8:40]
no doubt about
[8:46]
it
[8:48]
so I guess I'll end with just some
[8:51]
practical things here
[8:54]
so that window is actually inside the RV
[8:58]
it's not it's not looking outside that
[9:02]
is the slide out wall my slide out is
[9:05]
now permanently inside the
[9:08]
RV which turns out makes a whole lot of
[9:11]
sense for the environment I'm going to
[9:14]
with these kinds of storms you actually
[9:16]
don't want to have your slides
[9:19]
out um there's some kind of
[9:21]
synchronicity in that I
[9:23]
guess and I have fully embraced it like
[9:27]
I this feels better to me I don't want
[9:30]
the extra space I actually feel like
[9:32]
this space works better for
[9:37]
me there is something to be said about
[9:41]
too much
[9:43]
space too much space
[9:48]
breeds lots of things that perhaps
[9:51]
aren't
[9:53]
conducive to a healthy
[9:57]
life that is something I've been
[9:59]
learning over these past 6
[10:03]
months this feels
[10:08]
aligned with
[10:10]
how I would want to live my life how I'm
[10:13]
living it like it just it feels aligned
[10:15]
with my
[10:19]
values my practical
[10:22]
considerations
[10:26]
efficiency
[10:27]
um the way that I interact with the
[10:30]
space this environment my
[10:34]
home it feels
[10:39]
right I do see the irony in
[10:44]
how I I I find it hard to imagine a
[10:47]
whole lot of other people out there who
[10:48]
live in RVs
[10:51]
fulltime
[10:52]
embracing something like this adapting
[10:55]
their space to have their slid in all
[10:57]
the
[10:57]
time and I love that about me absolutely
[11:01]
love it because it is quintessentially
[11:09]
me for those of you who have been
[11:11]
following my journey since the beginning
[11:14]
I know you see
[11:16]
it I am not the same person
[11:20]
anymore and I don't think I will be the
[11:23]
same person when I leave the Pacific
[11:26]
Northwest which is why I have no plans
[11:28]
for after there cuz I don't know where I
[11:32]
would want to go after
[11:35]
there they have to find out who I'll
[11:38]
become before I can decide
[11:42]
that so next time we talk probably
[11:45]
Tuesday it's when I'm planning to leave
[11:48]
so have a good weekend good start to
[11:51]
your week
