[0:01]
I think I just had the best shower of my
[0:03]
entire
[0:04]
life. The water pressure in that thing
[0:06]
was so high that I was worried it was
[0:09]
going to hurt my earrings. I used my
[0:10]
hand to protect it from the water. It
[0:13]
was that it was so high. I just got a
[0:17]
check. Oh man. Like it had to have
[0:20]
been that can't be normal. Like it was
[0:23]
so high. I'm not complaining. That was
[0:25]
awesome. Um went through the hot water
[0:28]
very fast.
[0:30]
So, so showers are about to
[0:34]
become a real luxury for me cuz they're
[0:36]
not going to be on my next campground. I
[0:38]
do know that there's a place in town. I
[0:40]
remember seeing a sign that said
[0:41]
something like laundry and showers. So,
[0:44]
there is
[0:46]
somewhere. So, you know, I'm getting
[0:50]
myself ready for my new off-grid life.
[0:53]
And I just this shower
[0:56]
like oh man it's worth commemorating. I
[0:59]
hope I come back here and I still like
[1:02]
this cuz I'm going to be without power.
[1:04]
I'm going to layer shirts I think. Um I
[1:08]
got two on and this sweater here I'm
[1:11]
going to put on
[1:12]
afterwards.
[1:14]
Um when I first noticed that I have like
[1:17]
wrinkles around my eyes that really
[1:19]
concerned me cuz I think I'm pretty
[1:21]
beautiful.
[1:23]
But that kind of I don't like it at all.
[1:26]
I don't mind that I'm getting older, but
[1:28]
that really bothers me when I smile and
[1:30]
stuff. I got these wrinkles around my
[1:32]
eyes. You can see them right there. So,
[1:34]
I started putting some things on my
[1:35]
face. I never did this my whole
[1:37]
life. I'm just going to show you. So, I
[1:40]
got this
[1:43]
niainamide
[1:46]
and hyaluric acid. They come in these
[1:49]
little droplet things and you just put
[1:51]
it on your face. Then I put this
[1:55]
on. It's a
[1:58]
moisturizer. And after I do that, I use
[2:00]
this pen looking thing under my
[2:04]
eyes. And then I put this microsculpting
[2:07]
eye swirl on. And it these two things
[2:09]
actually help a lot. They will make the
[2:11]
bags under my eyes go away for a while.
[2:13]
It's very cool.
[2:14]
Um, and then I put this on leave-in
[2:17]
conditioner in my
[2:21]
hair. Um, but I'm finding it's very
[2:23]
difficult to do that in a shower house.
[2:25]
Grab this little mirror here. I'll show
[2:27]
you. Going to do it right here. This is
[2:30]
not working so well. It's kind of hard
[2:31]
to see. I'm not doing as good a job when
[2:34]
I put it on. I'm not sure if um I'll
[2:37]
either adapt to that and keep doing it
[2:39]
in here in shower houses when I have
[2:41]
when I have um when they're accessible
[2:43]
to me.
[2:44]
or I'll shower in here and then do it in
[2:46]
my RV in my
[2:48]
bathroom, which that might be the better
[2:50]
route. I'm not sure. I guess it depends
[2:52]
because, you know, I don't have any
[2:53]
running water now. So if I had better
[2:55]
batteries and I was running my water
[2:57]
pump then maybe
[3:00]
um but even without it you know this is
[3:03]
me just um this is how I think
[3:07]
through the different paths available to
[3:10]
me and try to decide what feels like
[3:12]
integration you know this is how I try
[3:14]
to integrate these things into my life
[3:17]
and I'm not there yet it's a process
[3:19]
it's iterative and I'm just sharing it
[3:21]
with you know at least I'm trying. So,
[3:25]
got to get this stuff on my face and
[3:27]
head out. It's a new
[3:28]
day. So, I pulled into this um pullth
[3:31]
through site to um hook up my Jeep.
[3:34]
There's a ranger coming. I got to demand
[3:36]
my camera. So embarrassing,
[3:40]
[Applause]
[3:41]
man. Anyways, if I had a tripod, I could
[3:45]
show you guys me hooking up my Jeep cuz
[3:47]
it's so fun. It is easy. It doesn't take
[3:50]
long at all. It's a very quick thing.
[3:51]
There are six pieces that I have to grab
[3:54]
every time for the back of my Jeep. Put
[3:56]
them put it all together really
[3:59]
easy. Um, I'll show you
[4:03]
after. That was my site right there. I'm
[4:05]
going to say goodbye to it. It's a nice
[4:08]
site. G3. And I just parked over here.
[4:12]
Going to get hooked up
[4:15]
now. So, you guys know I listen to music
[4:17]
on repeat. Uh, depending on what my mood
[4:20]
is. And today it's burning off my
[4:21]
clothes by sworn virgins. There is a
[4:24]
mosquito there in
[4:27]
Oregon. It's not
[4:29]
good. So that's it. It's hooked up.
[4:33]
Always doing the same order. It's muscle
[4:34]
memory, you know. Very easy. One last
[4:37]
step. We got to get this thing into
[4:40]
neutral. So we do that.
[4:45]
Now I love having a Jeep where you just
[4:47]
press a button.
[4:50]
Ah. So, turn it on. Get it into neutral.
[4:53]
Turn it
[4:54]
off. And then do this
[4:58]
part. It should now be in
[5:01]
neutral. And you can see it there.
[5:04]
Neutral. Now, we put it into first gear
[5:07]
just to make sure that it's not going to
[5:09]
go anywhere. Probably should do reverse
[5:11]
first so you don't like what if there
[5:13]
was, you know, if it didn't work and run
[5:15]
into your RV. I think about that every
[5:17]
time, but I still do first every time.
[5:19]
Maybe one day I won't. Now we put it
[5:21]
into reverse. We get our reverse mirror
[5:23]
cuz that's cool. I love my Jeep.
[5:26]
Everything is
[5:27]
good. Then we put it back into neutral
[5:30]
and then into first gear because in a
[5:32]
manual transmission, you actually put it
[5:33]
into gear when towing it. We turned it
[5:36]
off. We make sure the parking brake is
[5:38]
off. Grab our keys, lock the
[5:42]
doors, and we're ready to
[5:44]
go. Just like that.
[5:49]
get all
[5:50]
this. I'm just This is just how I am. I
[5:53]
like to have my doors
[5:57]
locked.
[5:58]
So, we're all ready to go. Got our Jeep
[6:01]
hooked
[6:03]
up. Had the RV ready. Oh, one last step.
[6:06]
This kind of a This is an important one.
[6:11]
So, I've already checked all my doors
[6:13]
and stuff, my um storage doors, storage
[6:16]
bays, and those are locked. We got to
[6:19]
lock this
[6:21]
door. Um, you know, the main door. Oh,
[6:24]
wait. Wrong
[6:26]
keys. And then after I lock this door.
[6:30]
Okay. Got to lock the door. We got to
[6:33]
put this um
[6:34]
safety um child lock on because I don't
[6:39]
trust these doors. Technically have
[6:42]
another one up there, but it's hard to
[6:43]
reach. So, I just do the bottom one.
[6:46]
It's just so I don't, you know, I don't
[6:48]
want my door flying off while I'm
[6:49]
driving cuz I traveled across the
[6:52]
country and you know, I went through
[6:53]
some windy states and I felt that door
[6:56]
rattling and watched it and you know,
[6:58]
all of that. It's like, let's just take
[7:00]
the extra
[7:02]
precaution. So, that's what we
[7:04]
do. Grab the other
[7:07]
keys and then um we got to go up to the
[7:10]
dump station. I haven't seen them here
[7:12]
yet. They're in a whole different part
[7:14]
of the
[7:14]
park. Um we're going to empty the tanks
[7:17]
and then we'll be off. That's John's
[7:19]
sight right there. Should say bye to
[7:22]
him. He's not there cuz the golf cart is
[7:23]
gone. He's working on our way up to the
[7:26]
dump station. Driving very carefully,
[7:29]
like 5 miles an
[7:31]
hour. I forgot one thing. I forgot to
[7:34]
tie up my one of my drawers. It opens
[7:36]
while driving, but it'll be all right.
[7:39]
Just happens all the
[7:41]
time. Um, that's basically it. I think
[7:44]
everything's very secure, so should have
[7:47]
a safe trip. I have half a tank of gas,
[7:49]
a little less than half a tank. Right
[7:51]
now it's saying my range is 90 mi, but
[7:52]
it's really more like 150. It'll go off
[7:54]
as I drive. And I think I only have to
[7:56]
go about 100 miles. So I might try to
[7:59]
skip getting fuel cuz if I need fuel, I
[8:01]
can get it in Florence. I know I can get
[8:03]
that
[8:04]
far. And once I do need to get fuel,
[8:07]
like, you know, after staying at the
[8:08]
campground, I can just go into Florence
[8:09]
and do it. I know the gas stations
[8:11]
there. And that's always the hardest
[8:12]
part for me is navigating the gas
[8:15]
stations. This is a very bumpy road. I
[8:17]
got to go even slower.
[8:20]
Um, they had a storm here that tore out
[8:23]
all the
[8:24]
roads apparently. I didn't know the
[8:26]
water could do that. Like just one
[8:29]
storm, but that was pretty bad, I guess.
[8:32]
So, all the roads are tore up. There are
[8:33]
people here working on
[8:35]
them. So, anyways,
[8:38]
um, you know, fuel stations is I still I
[8:42]
still kind of struggle with those. You
[8:44]
know, I pretty comfortable driving this
[8:46]
thing. I feel like I have very good
[8:48]
visibility. I worked on that on my cross
[8:50]
country drive here. I've had plenty of
[8:53]
experience driving it. Um, but
[8:56]
especially when towing my Jeep, just
[8:58]
going to a gas station feels hard. I
[8:59]
really prefer the truck stops on my way
[9:01]
to Oregon, but there are none on the
[9:03]
coast. So,
[9:07]
um, yeah. So, if I can avoid going
[9:10]
today, I'm going to just because I've
[9:13]
got enough going on.
[9:16]
But, you know, it's very important to
[9:17]
keep fueling your RV. Uh, it's going to
[9:19]
be pretty empty by the time I get there.
[9:21]
So, we'll see once we get closer what
[9:23]
the situation with that is. This is
[9:26]
really a bumpy
[9:27]
road. Sorry if anyone's behind me. Like,
[9:30]
I got to This thing is
[9:34]
um I think we're good though. It's just
[9:36]
us.
[9:38]
Yep. I'm loving this. I do. I love this
[9:41]
life. I
[9:42]
do. Um, just need to I need to
[9:47]
um integrate work into it. My Guru
[9:50]
profile is finally functional. Going to
[9:52]
work on that. It's going to be hard cuz
[9:54]
no power, you know, my laptop's going to
[9:56]
die quickly. Um, internet, you know,
[9:59]
satellite internet, all that. It's going
[10:01]
to take my inverter and my Jeep's fuel
[10:04]
and it's just all of it's going to be
[10:06]
hard um but not
[10:09]
impossible. And I'll navigate it. And
[10:12]
I'm hopeful some of my followers will
[10:13]
help me, some of my viewers. I don't
[10:15]
like calling you followers. That's um
[10:18]
that's Twitter language, I
[10:19]
guess. It's going to work at this
[10:21]
welcome center here. So sad. For 3
[10:24]
months. I was really looking forward to
[10:27]
that.
[10:28]
Um so dump station is to the
[10:31]
right. We are basically about ready to
[10:35]
go.
[10:38]
Hope this road's not too bad, though.
[10:41]
Man, this feels
[10:44]
awful. Okay, the dump station's right
[10:46]
here. Okay, at least we don't have to go
[10:48]
far. That's
[10:50]
good. Definitely. That says no RV turn.
[10:53]
Don't turn. Don't Don't go. Don't go
[10:55]
straight. Oh, that would be
[10:58]
horrible. Okay, so the dump station's
[11:00]
here
[11:05]
somewhere. Didn't even know this was
[11:07]
here. Oh, I see it.
[11:10]
Okay.
[11:12]
Interesting. All
[11:14]
right. So, the dump station's right next
[11:17]
to Well, it's right here at the entrance
[11:19]
of the
[11:21]
park. And this is the less fun part,
[11:24]
right? But we're just going to empty
[11:26]
both tanks. And there aren't going to be
[11:28]
any water in here for a while, so it'll
[11:31]
be
[11:33]
interesting. Okay, let's get this done.
[11:37]
Okay, I got the gross task all done now.
[11:40]
Second nature. Took me like a month
[11:43]
before the first time I did that. And I
[11:44]
probably say this every time I dump my
[11:46]
tanks, but cuz I'm very proud of myself.
[11:49]
Um, having learned these skills and
[11:51]
getting good at them and feeling
[11:52]
confident about it and doing such a good
[11:56]
job. So, you know, I got to point it out
[12:00]
every
[12:00]
time. I really should get a brush for my
[12:03]
hair. I can feel
[12:05]
the um there's a stray hair there, but I
[12:10]
want my hair to look nice. I let it um
[12:13]
sit back so that with the hat on trying
[12:15]
to form my hair. Somebody told me that
[12:17]
might help. Trying to form it so it does
[12:20]
what I'm doing now. Won't stay this way
[12:23]
though. It's not perfect. It's getting
[12:26]
there though. Love my
[12:28]
hair. So, going to try to go without a
[12:30]
hat.
[12:33]
Um, yeah. We got ready to
[12:37]
go. Got a journey ahead the bus. Not
[12:39]
even sure where I'm going. I'm going to
[12:41]
have to get that on Google Maps, I
[12:43]
guess, cuz I don't know where it is. I
[12:44]
just know I'll do that once we get to
[12:46]
Florence. I
[12:47]
guess we should be good. We're off. So,
[12:51]
we're in Newport right now and I just
[12:53]
saw a sign that says that Florence is 50
[12:55]
miles away. My range is about 120. We're
[12:57]
going to be fine on fuel. So, I'm going
[12:59]
to skip that. save as much money as I
[13:02]
can. Every dollar counts right now. So,
[13:05]
I'm glad to know that I have a pretty
[13:08]
good window
[13:11]
um you know for fuel. So, I mean I could
[13:15]
even make it all the way back here if I
[13:16]
had to. So, we're
[13:18]
good. I'm not going to record much on
[13:20]
this trip. I did on my last one. So,
[13:22]
you've already seen this route. It's
[13:24]
very beautiful. But, we're going to bend
[13:25]
up back in the dunes.
[13:28]
Um, these cars are so close. God, I
[13:31]
don't like that. Um, so we're going to
[13:33]
end up back in the dunes, which takes
[13:35]
you away from the ocean, but it won't be
[13:38]
too far away. I'll be able to, you know,
[13:39]
go there in my Jeep. Couple of miles
[13:41]
from wherever I'm at. Um, we're going to
[13:44]
be near a place called Dune City. I
[13:46]
think it's called Dune
[13:47]
City. I've never been there. I've passed
[13:50]
it many times and never been there. It's
[13:51]
a cool name.
[13:53]
And, you know, we'll check that out. So,
[13:56]
I can see the ocean in the distance.
[14:00]
Oh, want to miss the ocean. Well, the
[14:03]
ocean will be right there. But I'm just
[14:05]
saying I love this ocean. So, yeah,
[14:08]
we're having a good day. It's very nice
[14:10]
out, too, by the way. Says it's 61
[14:12]
according to my vehicle here in my RV.
[14:15]
The sun is out. Clear day. Like, it's
[14:18]
wonderful. This is a wonderful day. I
[14:20]
love these days on the coast. We're
[14:22]
about to go over to Big Bridge. We got
[14:24]
to at least get that on camera. Pretty
[14:26]
bridge. There's a bicycle. There he
[14:32]
is. Yay. I love
[14:36]
bridges. I wonder if this is a hot
[14:38]
man. Are you cute? You might be cute.
[14:41]
That man might have been cute. So hard
[14:43]
to tell
[14:46]
though. Driving down. Riding this bike
[14:49]
down to
[14:51]
101. Mountains in the distance.
[14:54]
Wilderness. So, you know, the river and
[14:56]
then the ocean over there. Oh, I didn't
[14:59]
know I put that window down. That was an
[15:01]
accident. Interesting. Let's put that
[15:04]
back
[15:04]
up.
[15:08]
Okay, we are on our way. So, given my
[15:12]
new reality of being completely off-
[15:13]
grid, no power, I just plug my phone
[15:17]
into my RV while I'm driving so I can
[15:19]
charge that and try to keep that
[15:20]
charged. And I have to think this way
[15:22]
all the time now.
[15:25]
I don't know, maybe I even take a a
[15:27]
recorder with me or
[15:29]
recorder take a um a charger with me,
[15:33]
you know, that you can plug into outlets
[15:35]
wherever I am. If I can get away with
[15:37]
that. Just like my brakes on. I can see
[15:39]
the Okay, they're off now. Yeah.
[15:42]
Okay.
[15:44]
So, yeah, I'm learning to live
[15:46]
differently.
[15:49]
All the power I use is power
[15:51]
that I
[15:53]
consciously consciously generate
[15:59]
somewhere. It kind of feels good. I
[16:01]
can't explain that. Truly can't. Like
[16:04]
this feels like like evolution like
[16:09]
a like I've stepped out of out of the
[16:13]
stimulation or something. Like I'm
[16:15]
completely outside the simulator now.
[16:17]
doesn't know what to do with me. Oh man,
[16:20]
it feels like that. So, we just passed
[16:22]
through Wald Park Walport and it was
[16:25]
beautiful. I wish I had recorded it for
[16:27]
you. I will next time. I just don't feel
[16:30]
really prepared for recording scenery
[16:32]
and stuff like that. I'd love to get out
[16:34]
my
[16:36]
um my little GoPros, get those all
[16:39]
mounted and hooked up. I guess I'd have
[16:40]
to keep them charged. So, you know, I'll
[16:44]
I'll think on that cuz it was
[16:47]
beautiful. I wanted to note that we're
[16:50]
going to pass through Yahhats. I think I
[16:52]
called it Yakats or something like that
[16:55]
in my last video and when I was
[16:56]
traveling through it, it's
[16:57]
Yahhatz. So, I just wanted to clarify. I
[17:00]
know how to pronounce it now. We've got
[17:03]
a ways to go before we get to that cuz
[17:04]
we just went through Waldorf, but it's
[17:06]
not very far. On the other side of that
[17:08]
will be um Florence and then we're going
[17:12]
to go down past Honeyman was last state
[17:15]
park ride on your and then past that you
[17:17]
get to Dune City and I'll be somewhere
[17:20]
around there. I don't know exactly where
[17:21]
but somewhere around that
[17:23]
area. Okay, so we just entered Yah. That
[17:26]
was fast. Um I don't know, maybe 10
[17:30]
minutes. Didn't It wasn't
[17:32]
long. There's nothing to
[17:34]
see. So, we're just driving through
[17:41]
here. Yahhat is a pretty touristy
[17:52]
spot. Beach access, but you can't really
[17:55]
see it from
[17:56]
here. Big mountain in front of us.
[18:07]
It's a pretty small town, so we're going
[18:09]
to be through this in no time. Not sure
[18:12]
what's next. I think there might be a
[18:14]
little town next. Um, this is where you
[18:17]
end up going back to the dunes, right
[18:18]
past
[18:19]
Yah's. Um, the 101 will curve inward
[18:23]
because of the dunes. So, you lose
[18:25]
access to the ocean
[18:26]
views. And that's where we're going to
[18:28]
be, so we'll make the best of it.
[18:32]
This might be our last ocean view. It's
[18:35]
beautiful. We're a good distance past
[18:38]
Yaha, so I was wrong about that. And we
[18:40]
went up and down like pretty steep
[18:43]
incline and decline. Very
[18:47]
beautiful. I love that ocean. It's such
[18:50]
a nice day out. I hope I get to have
[18:52]
have some time to get out
[18:54]
there
[18:57]
somewhere. So
[18:59]
pretty. So, we're not too far. I don't
[19:01]
think we have too far to go really.
[19:04]
We're about to go through the
[19:07]
tunnel. A very steep turn over there.
[19:10]
You had to get down to 25 really fast
[19:13]
and then suddenly you're at the
[19:15]
tunnel. Yay. I wonder why it has two um
[19:19]
different heights like that. Wonder what
[19:20]
that's about.
[19:38]
This is probably our last ocean view. I
[19:39]
know I said that before, but I bet you
[19:41]
this is in. I bet you it's where the
[19:43]
tunnels at. We just passed the CAD
[19:46]
lighthouse, so I have a feeling this is
[19:48]
in. And then we'll be back in the dunes.
[19:53]
The dunes are fun and beautiful and
[19:55]
everything. I just love the
[19:57]
[Music]
[19:59]
ocean. Boy, you got to go really slow
[20:01]
around this mountain. I wonder what this
[20:04]
mountain is called if you can hike
[20:07]
it. It's not Hanbug
[20:10]
Mountain. Humbug Mountain. Way more
[20:19]
fun. The sea lion caves. That's duckling
[20:22]
where the ocean where we stopped seeing
[20:25]
the ocean is the seaine
[20:27]
caves. So what city am I forgetting? I
[20:30]
could have sworn it was
[20:32]
Yah. There must be a different city that
[20:35]
I've forgotten
[20:40]
about. So here are the sea lion caves.
[20:44]
Yeah, because I'm almost sure that
[20:45]
Florence is after this. Oh, that's
[20:48]
right. And I think the ocean opens up
[20:49]
right after you get past Florence.
[20:53]
Okay. Oh, look at the beach down there.
[20:56]
Wow. Oh, that's so
[20:59]
beautiful. We're going back
[21:03]
up. Oh, that's a beautiful man over
[21:06]
there. All right, we're
[21:09]
off. So, I just punched the campground
[21:11]
into um Google Maps and I know exactly
[21:15]
where it's taking me. I've been there.
[21:16]
I've hiked to that beach several times.
[21:20]
Um, it's a nice area. I don't remember
[21:22]
seeing this campground, but it's got to
[21:24]
be back there somewhere. I'm excited.
[21:27]
This will be nice. So, we just entered
[21:29]
Florence. Population
[21:31]
9600. We're like 10 miles from where
[21:33]
we're going. So, we don't have a long
[21:35]
drive. We're just going to go through
[21:36]
the town, get to the other side of it,
[21:38]
go to waste down that road, and then we
[21:41]
will be there. I am
[21:43]
happy. We're here.
[21:46]
I have been here. I have been here. So,
[21:48]
that's that's the good news. I'm in a
[21:50]
familiar
[21:51]
area. I know that I like it here. Don't
[21:55]
remember seeing this campground, though.
[21:57]
I think I might know where it is. I
[21:59]
think I might have passed it. Um thought
[22:02]
I had a different name. So, I think I
[22:05]
know where I
[22:07]
am. And we just got a little ways to go,
[22:10]
like maybe a mile.
[22:14]
Bad news. No power or water off grid.
[22:18]
It's
[22:19]
like that's the challenge. After I get
[22:22]
set up, I need to go back into Florence
[22:23]
to my Jeep,
[22:25]
uh, take my cash, convert that to credit
[22:27]
so that I can extend my stay here and
[22:30]
hope for the
[22:32]
best. So, that's where I'm at now. Um,
[22:36]
haven't eaten today. I'm starving, so
[22:38]
I'll probably try to find something in
[22:39]
town. I need to get ice.
[22:42]
Um, yeah. So that I can at least have a
[22:45]
cooler
[22:47]
going. So yeah, I got a lot on my mind
[22:51]
here. Oh, I'll make this work. Going to
[22:55]
make this
[22:59]
work. Very pretty back here. Switch my
[23:02]
feet, but I just can't right
[23:04]
now. Organ Dunes National Recreation
[23:08]
Area.
[23:11]
Very cool
[23:13]
place. Roads are
[23:15]
very
[23:17]
rough.
[23:22]
Okay. Yeah, they are. And this bridge is
[23:29]
rough. Got some behind us. They're not
[23:31]
tailgating, so that's
[23:35]
good. Don't have to go far. I actually
[23:37]
have come back here several times with
[23:40]
my G and I'm going out to the beach.
[23:43]
Turn right. Okay. So, we should be
[23:46]
close. I'm going out to the beach out
[23:48]
here.
[23:53]
So, I got that song stuck in my head
[23:56]
now. So, I'm loving
[23:58]
it. Every time I turn my camera on, it
[24:00]
turns off. Turn right. Then you'll
[24:03]
arrive at your destination.
[24:05]
We're
[24:07]
here. We made
[24:09]
it. We're
[24:13]
here.
[24:14]
Oh, I don't actually know my campsite
[24:17]
number or where I'm going to detach my
[24:19]
Jeep or anything like
[24:21]
this. Let's just do a loop, I guess, and
[24:25]
we'll figure it out. There's a spot
[24:28]
here. Come back here and do it. Okay,
[24:31]
nobody's behind us now. That's the good
[24:34]
news. I'm going to flip the camera now.
[24:37]
We're at Lagoon Campground volunteer
[24:40]
host national forest
[24:43]
board wildlife volunteer. I wonder what
[24:45]
that's about. So, we're just going to
[24:48]
look around seeing where's the easiest
[24:50]
way to
[24:54]
detach. I don't think this is a busy
[24:56]
place at least.
[24:59]
site
[25:00]
6 to
[25:02]
28. Okay. Yeah. And it's one way.
[25:07]
Okay.
[25:09]
Okay. Need to figure out what site I'm
[25:11]
at. I think I'm at 13. Actually, I'm
[25:13]
almost towards number
[25:15]
13. Um, and it's a backing site. I
[25:18]
didn't want to get one of these
[25:21]
pullthroughs, but I will have to detach
[25:24]
my Jeep
[25:25]
first. Wouldn't want to do it in the
[25:27]
road. So, I guess we were going into one
[25:28]
of these bullocks. Here's one right
[25:30]
here. 11. Let's just do that here. And
[25:33]
then, um, yeah, I'm right over there. I
[25:36]
can see it.
[25:38]
Yay. Yay. I'm so happy. Nobody here
[25:42]
either. Oh my god, I'm going to love it.
[25:44]
Going to love this. There's my spot
[25:46]
right there. That's it. It's pretty.
[25:49]
It's a nice spot. Good spot. Is that a
[25:53]
spot on the other side of me, too,
[25:54]
though? Cuz, you know, that's kind of
[25:56]
weird.
[25:57]
It is cuz there's two picnic benches
[25:59]
there. So, my back window might have a a
[26:02]
neighbor pointing at me. Wow, that's
[26:06]
different. Look at that one. 12 would
[26:08]
have been better. Now I know though.
[26:10]
I've only got 4 days, right? So,
[26:12]
anything I reserve here after that,
[26:14]
maybe I'll just get a different site now
[26:15]
that I know. So yeah, maybe we'll try
[26:17]
for 12 here and it is time to embark on
[26:22]
my um new off-grid life and make the
[26:26]
best life as I can
[26:27]
cuz that's what this has all been about
[26:30]
since the beginning and I'm going to
[26:33]
make it happen. Okay, it makes sense
[26:35]
now. So I'm in site 13A and I'm standing
[26:37]
in 13B behind me. They're probably sort
[26:40]
of like group sites. Ooh, that's very
[26:43]
level. See on this side. Oh wow. Very
[26:46]
level sight. So very nice. But this was
[26:49]
very challenging to park into because
[26:51]
let me show you this. This is this is
[26:53]
wild. But I did it. I'm so proud of
[26:54]
myself. So when you drive in, you know,
[26:57]
whenever you're driving in, you want to
[26:59]
be able to back in. So it would be like
[27:01]
this. But this is the opposite. I had to
[27:03]
drive into this spot and then kind of
[27:06]
swerve around and then come in like
[27:08]
that. That was challenging, but I did
[27:10]
it. I'm so proud of myself. So we're
[27:13]
here. I'll look around and see what
[27:15]
other sites they have and um you know
[27:18]
maybe I'll end up at a different site
[27:20]
but I've got a spot for 4
[27:23]
days feeling pretty good parked. I don't
[27:27]
know why this is backwards like this. It
[27:29]
is very hard to park
[27:31]
here. You would think they would angle
[27:33]
them all the
[27:34]
same. There's some people walking by.
[27:37]
Hello peace sign to them. Okay, they're
[27:41]
friendly.
[27:43]
I'm here. I'm going to get my sight set
[27:45]
up, which I guess that's not much work.
[27:47]
No power, water, so nothing to hook up.
[27:50]
Then I will head
[27:52]
out at a strange
[27:55]
angle. Going to Florence. And got a
[27:58]
whole bunch to do there. And here we go.
[28:01]
First day
[28:02]
um um offrid at a campground though,
[28:07]
so feel good. I can hear the ATVs
[28:09]
already, so that's cool. So, I'm just
[28:12]
telling for a moment before I get
[28:14]
started, and it just occurred to me I'd
[28:16]
actually want to drive my Jeep in the
[28:17]
other way
[28:18]
anyways. Um, so that my hood is facing
[28:21]
closer to the RV because of my inverter.
[28:24]
So, I guess it works out. I only have to
[28:27]
park my RV once while I'm here.
[28:29]
So, Jeep comes and goes, but the RV
[28:34]
stays. And I'm going to have to get that
[28:36]
inverter going cuz the internet's not
[28:38]
very good here on my phone. So, if I
[28:41]
want to upload anything
[28:44]
or try to look for work on
[28:47]
Guru, anything that requires decent
[28:50]
internet, I'm going to need my satellite
[28:52]
dish, which means my Jeep's going to
[28:54]
have to be
[28:57]
running. This is
[29:01]
different. But I will adapt. I will I
[29:04]
will adjust. I will grow. I will
[29:07]
conquer.
[29:12]
I'll do more than survive. I'm going to
[29:14]
thrive. Let me end with this
[29:17]
request. Dear
[29:19]
viewers, if you've been watching my
[29:22]
life, some of you for longer than a year
[29:25]
now. You know, my birthday is less than
[29:27]
a week from
[29:28]
now and I only have this site for 4 days
[29:31]
and I have very little money and I have
[29:34]
a lot that I need to do and I need help.
[29:39]
There are links in the description and a
[29:41]
comment. If you can help, please do so.
[29:44]
The more time you can buy me in this
[29:47]
spot, the easier my life will be. It's
[29:50]
not going to be easy regardless, but
[29:51]
it'll be
[29:53]
easier. And all I can do is ask.
